Another lock you can get that will work great for any door is a deadbolt.  A deadbolt lock locks the door with a solid piece of steel that sits in a small opening to stop the door from being opened from the outside.  You will need a key in order to get into this lock and it will keep many intruders at bay.  These are very hard locks to break and to get through as long as you lock them properly.
